Dunnigan Fire Protection District

Station 12

   Mutual Aid

Fire districts can handle most of their emergency calls without assistance; but occasionally a call for our services may be overwhelming.  When this occurs the fire departments can rely on each other for equipment and staffing.  When you see apparatus from neighboring districts in town they are here to aid us in helping our citizens.  Mutual aid from other departments not only brings in equipment but also additional firefighters to share the work with our firefighters to make for a safer event.

Each year the Yolo Fire District hosts a wildland fire training event.  Pictured are members of Dunnigan Fire District along with other districts receiving instructions from a Cal Fire firefighter on the proper deployment of fire shelters.
