Community Appreciation Day and Parade

July 2003 marked the first year for our annual Community Appreciation Day and Parade.  The Dunnigan Fire District and Volunteers wanted to show their appreciation for the community support that they receive throughout the year.  It was also a good way to show off the new fire trucks added to the fleet in recent years.  We had a good turnout – residents enjoyed free hot dogs and sodas provided by the volunteers.  We also provided the kids (and adults) a chance to cool off under the “mist” of a fire hose!  

We have held a Community Appreciation Day every year in September.
